Santa Cruz Biotechnology Luminol reagent is a non-radioactive, light-emitting system for detecting proteins on a Western blot membrane. Horseradish peroxidase mediates oxidation of Luminol reagent in the presence of hydrogen peroxide and this reaction produces an iridescent light.
